Bugbears

Bugbears are a type of goblinoid that has plagued Europe for centuries if not longer. They are animalistic in appearance and use tattered armour, and cheap weapons. Saying this though, they can be dangerous opponents who use stealth where possible to attack anyone who is not of their kind, stripping the corpses of anything worth taking, and if need be cannibalising the remains. They, along with the Goblins, were thrown out of the Fey realms millennia ago, and are a form of Dark Fey. It seems their treacherous ways were hated by all Fey, and this intolerance forced them out. They look like a humanoid with elements of bears about their person. Matted hair, sharp teeth and a bad attitude is all part of their makeup.
Each Bugbear is a scheming brute who thinks of nothing but itself, and will as likely stab each other in the back if cornered and threatened. This does not stop groups like Hobgoblins, and even Orcs, using them as troops, to smoke out enemies, and ambushers. This is something they have made a trademark of, and don't mind so as long as they survive.
They rarely settle in one place for too long. When they do they will use some ruins to act as a base camp, and temporarily repair enough of it to act as sleeping quarters and as a defensive position. When all food sources are depleted in  the region then they will move on. The places they leave behind is often unusable afterwards, just for the amount of rubbish, and stench, they leave behind.
