Crocodiles are one of the largest of the crocodilian family. Flattened bodies and wide snouts lined with teeth, they their eyes and nostrils are kept above the river or sea they regularly hunt in. The scales on their backs makes them look like logs floating in the water. Their legs are short but muscular, adapted for swimming, but they can still walk on land and have short bursts of speed instead of walking. They have long tails designed to help them swim. They are known for their death rolls when they capture prey, allowing the kill to be crushed & torn apart for swallowing. Also, they can go for months and even up to a year or two without feeding making them extremely patient hunters.
Suggested Environments
Tropical & sub-tropical rivers, lakes , watering holes, and seas.
