Toxic. Cyanide is toxic doing 16 3d10 poison damage, and forcing the victim to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a fail, the victim is poisoned, and like this for 2 1d4 hours. They take a further 7 2d6 poison damage every hour like this. On a successful save, the victim takes the initial poison damage only.   Possible Spell Component. At the DM's discretion, this can be used as a spell component in some spells.

Cyanide is a toxic substance found in plants, as well as certain bacteria, fungi, and planktons. It acts as an antifeedant, preventing animals from feeding on the source. Many seeds of fruits (such as apricots, apples, peaches & bitter almonds) contain it, and a regular source of cyanide when collected & processed. Far deadlier when in the form of hydrogen cyanide (usually a gas form), it is or at least will be used to extract gold & silver when mining.
