Wood Elves are on of the sub-races of Elvish culture. Like all Elves their ancestors originally came from Alfheim. They have a deep knowledge of of the wild, and usually make their communities deep in places such as woods, forests and jungles. They are on good terms with much of the wildlife around them and have their towns and cities high in the canopy. They are usually distrustful of many non-Elves, and anyone who would damage nature. Each Elf is long lived and mature as fast as humans, except their definition is somewhat different relying more on insight and experience. They usually live for 750 years or more. This allows them to have a love of variety in life and care generally more neutral or chaotic in approach, though generally more peace-loving and value the price of freedom in themselves & others. Because of this they are usually vied as good. When fully grown they have an average height of between 5 and 6 ft tall, making them Medium height. They have a number of abilities inherited for their ancestors including Darkvision (60 ft), and Keen Senses (proficiency in Perception). It seems they are descended of the Fey, and have contact with both the Feywild and both the Seelie & Unseelie Courts. This gives them the advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put them to sleep. It also allows them to enter a trance where they can maintain it for 4 hours and gain the same advantage as an 8 hour long rest.   Wood Elves are more attuned to their surroundings than other Elves so have a +1 Wisdom (included in ability score). Like many Elves they have Elf Weapon Training that includes the following: Longsword, Shortsword, Shortbow and Longbow. Since their settlements far from others, traveling fast from one settlement has increased their movement, they have Fleet Of Foot increasing their movement to 35 (increased already in Movement). They can also hide more easily in the wild, knowing how to spy, hide from and stalk threats better, giving them Mask Of The Wild (they can attempt to hide when lightly obscured by: foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist and other natural phenomena.
