Description
The Franks have an extensive cavalry, partly with them having access to some Alannic mounted warriors who settled east of Parisius. The other reason is the Merovingian branch of the Franks have a history of units of mounted cavalry. Combined they have flexibility and a hard hitting power that backs up their infantry units.
Suggested Environments
Frankia
Trample. When a cavalry member moves at least 30 feet straight towards a target, and makes an attack action, it does an extra 4 1d6+1 bludgeoning damage in the first turn. The target must make a DC 12 Strength saving throw, or be knocked prone. Dismounted. The cavalry can dismount and fight on foot, losing the Trample rule, but can make a Shieldwall instead. Shieldwall. When three or more riders are dismounted, and within 5 feet of each other, one or more can call a Shieldwall as their action. Until the start of their next turn, they cannot do any other actions, and have advantages on saving throws.
