Kelpies are notorious Fey who inhabit bodies of water from streams up to lochs / loughs in Scotland, and to a lesser degree in Ireland. They are pitch black horses, that can transform into beautiful women or men, depending on the local sources. Each kelpie will attract a person of the opposite sex, and then get them to ride them promising to take them a good distance. Once on their back the victim cannot get off. What happens is that they will eventually rush into the waters where their lair is, and devour the unfortunate victim in their lair. They ate tied with the Unseelie Court, the Feywild, and the Shadowfell. The Welsh Ceffyl Dŵr & Manx Cabbyl-ushtey are equivalent creatures.
The Each-uisge is a larger more aggressive water horse from the Scottish Highlands. Known as a shapeshifter, and when in human form appearing as a man with either dirt & mud or seaweed in it's hair. It lives in the sea and lochs of Scotland and eats it's victims leaving only the liver to float to the surface.
Suggested Environments
In or near bodies of fresh water, primarily in Scotland, and the odd one in Ireland.
