Lechites
The Lechites are a West Slavic tribe and the ancestors of the Polish. Named after the legendary Lech, the founder of the Lechite tribes, he was one of three brothers, the other two being Czech & Rus. They control an area east of Old Saxony and the Wends, with parts still viewed as old Germanic lands. Following thstandard custons of the Slaves they control a large enough region to become a full nation onto themselves in time if they can draw in the tribes that border them such as the Pomeranians, Masovians, Vistulans & Silesians. Some of these are closely related to the Lechites & other Western Slavs.
Strong enough and with access to the south eastern region of the Baltic Sea they have access to trade and can raid other regions, though the latter is rarely carried out by sea. Most of the region they inhabit have a number of small cities & towns compared to other regions, they use it as bases for their military & for trade, along with the odd port town to allow for ship building. They are known to raid into orger Slavic tribes and into Saxon lands, but suffer the same fate themselves.
