Mithril is a light, flexible metal. A mithril chain shirt or breastplate can be worn under normal clothes. If the armour normally imposes disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks or has a Strength requirement, the mithril version of the armour doesn't.

Mithril armour is made from mithril metal, which is almost exclusively made by Dwarves & Elves. The ore is mined deep from the earth and then processed into the armour.
