Personal history

Morgana le Fey is a powerful sorceress and member of the Fey. At least what most think. She is actually a Celtic goddess and the Goddess of War. Morgana is this goddess in Welsh, and the other Brythonic Celts. In the Goidelic languages she is known as The Morrigan.   She allowed herself to be born in mortal form to Arthur's mother Igraine and her husband Goirios making them half-siblings. She was hidden from Arthur and studied magic for a while with Merlin. Some scholars speculate that Merlin was taught some of his magic by Morgana who had access to the supernatural powers of the Feywild & Tuatha De Danann. Her fearsome & powerful nature proved dangerous to all especially those who sought the Holy Grail. As someone of the Celtic Pantheon, the last thing she wanted was the nobility of Brythonic Britain to find a holy symbol of a 'foreign religion'. This seemed to be the reason she wanted born in human form, to prevent herself primarily, and to a degree those of the Feywild & Tuatha De Danann to be forgotten and demonised where they are remembered.   Eventually banished after warring with the Knights of the Round Table, she disappears after Arthur is fatally wounded and took to Avalon. Some scholars speculate she gave up her mortal form and went back to the Tuatha De Danann.
