The original Pegasus is a descendant of the Greek Gods, with Poseidon as his father and foaled by the Gorgon Medusa upon her death. He is pure white like many of his kind, and has bred with mortal horses to produce more of his kind. Most pegasi are majestic sights, and usually breed true with each other & other equines.
They prefer to nest high in hard to reach places so their young can't be got at, and giving birth to live young. They are easily startled and scared off by other creatures, but if got young enough they can make excellent mounts.
