Innate Spellcasting. The Kin can cast spells innately using their Wisdom (spell save DC 13, makes spell attacks on AC 17). None of the spells need material components, and are treated as a Cleric for all spell purposes. The standard spells are as follows.

At will: Cantrips: Guidance, Resistance, Sacred Flame.

2/day: 4th Level: Death Ward, Locate Creature.

3/day: 1st Level: Bane, Cure Wounds, Detect Evil and Good, Inflict Wounds, Shield of Faith.   2nd Level: Calm Emotions, Hold Person, Silence, Spiritual Weapon.   3rd Level: Animate Dead, Bestow Curse, Glyph of Warding.

Star Spawn Locus. The Kin can summon between 1 to 3 1d4-1 lesser types of Star Spawn to it's side with it appearing in an unoccupied space within 10 feet, and can be seen. The spawn can be dismissed as a bonus action, or it lasts for 1 hour, or disappears after reaching 0 hit points.   Indescribable Mind. Other creatures have difficulty reading the minds of the Kin. Any spell, magical effect, or similar used to communicate telepathically with it results in disadvantage to do this.

Actions

Mace. Melee Weapon Attack +3 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit 4 1d6+1 bludgeoning damage.

Primordial Kin appear somewhat like their distant cousins, the Mindflayers. Roughly 5' to 6' tall, they are slenderly built, with three toes on their feet, a thumb and two fingers on each hand, and pale bluish gray skin. Pure black eyes stare out of faces similar to humans, with no hair, and four tentacles appear around their mouths. Their blood is a blue colour with a slight glow. No hair grows anywhere on them and their craniums are halfway between that of a human & a Mindflayer.   Each is capable of independent thought, though a group will often band together obsessing over a particular god, building up a slight hivemind between them while still allowing some independence. Highly intelligent, they are an ancient race and are usually found in the service of gods, and powerful creatures existing in the Outer Planes. Many are used as agents of one sort of another. Every time one or more obsesses over a deity, there is a chance it's alignment will change to the deities. Most seem drawn, at least in outlook, to ancient primordial deities, and don't seem to register the outlooks of sentient species on the Material Plane.   Both them and the Mindflayers hate each other enough to attack on sight, and they seem to have immunity to the mental dominations of both the Mindflayers & others. They are regularly led by more powerful individuals called Masters and Elders.
