Steppes Cavalry

Many Steppes peoples have an militarised society, where whoever can fight will. They are highly mobile societies being nomads, and as such horses are of high importance to them, with the richest members having many horses. These allow them to attack lightning fast and cause major shock to their enemies. The most infamous case of them attacking came in Europe, with the attack of the Huns, especially under the infamous Attila. They can & do carry out sieges when need be but all prefer to fight from horseback. Many use swords, spears, and short bows, riding past with the latter first to try to break up enemy lines, before smashing through the ranks after that. Light & medium armour is used regularly by them, and rarely shields, though the latter can be used when unmounted. Because of their nomadic lifestyle, the Steppes people regularly carry out raids on settled lands to get all manner of goods, or trade where they can.
