Blood Drinker. When the axe is used to wound a creature (excluding constructs or undead) for the first time, it boosts the wielder. Whatever the damage it causes at that time it adds the hit point damage to the user as temporary hit points. It also actively drinks in the blood of it's opponents giving it vitality, causing 3 1d6 necrotic damage as well.
Bonus. The axe is a +1 weapon (added to both hit rolls and damage rolls).

Vampiric axes are made with a sliver of bone (usually the upper canine tooth) of a vampire. It can appear as any type of axe, and actively feeds on the lifeblood of those it wounds. By doing so, it passes some of the life force onto the user.
