Personal history
Lawrence was raised a knight of an ancient royal family, sworn to protect the Queen and her two children. He was raised and trained by nobles in the finest of combat arts.
When a great war took the family from him, Lawrence knew he had broken his oath in failing to protect them. He walked into the battlefield, allowing the enemy to take him in the hopes he would be able to protect them in another life. Instead, he woke up in the body of a young lad, surrounded by children in a cold, white room. He learned the name of his host was Joshua, and took care of him and his family. Josh is his second chance at fulfilling his oath, and he takes that role very seriously.
Mental Trauma
The only member of the system aware of every other member at any given time, Lawrence knows everything of what has happened to the system since he arrived. He remembers the experiments, the torture, and everything good or bad that happened to Josh and his family, and considers it his duty to hold on to that trauma and keep tabs on what happens there. He also suffers flashbacks of his past life, from time to time.
