Personal history

Astele was born with a natural talent for music, her melodies captivating audiences and earning her a reputation as a prodigious bard in the vibrant city of Stormreach. Her performances were sought after by nobles and commoners alike, and she commanded generous fees for her enchanting concerts.   However, Astele's life took a dramatic turn one fateful night when she found herself indulging in a bit too much revelry at a local tavern. In her inebriated state, she spontaneously composed a limerick, far cruder and more risqué than anything she would ever sing sober. To her surprise, the lewd and bawdy verse was met with uproarious laughter and applause, quickly spreading like wildfire through the city's taverns and streets.   Despite her initial embarrassment and attempts to distance herself from the scandalous song, it became her most requested and celebrated piece. Everywhere she went, audiences clamored for the limerick, much to her dismay and frustration. The once-respected bard found herself trapped by her own creation, unable to escape its shadow as it eclipsed her other, more refined works.   The breaking point came during a prestigious festival performance for the Iron Council, where Astele was expected to showcase her virtuosity with a challenging classical piece. Midway through her performance, a boorish man from the audience interrupted to demand the infamous limerick. Enraged by the disrespect shown to her artistry, Astele snapped.   When she returned to her senses, she found herself standing over the lifeless body of the man, her lute stained with his blood. Shock and horror coursed through her as she realized the gravity of what she had done. With no choice but to face the consequences of her actions, Astele surrendered herself to the authorities and now languishes in the confines of Stormreach jail, haunted by the echoes of her once-beloved song and the specter of her own downfall.
