Reynard Hunt was born in the depths of the Howling Hills, a sacred and mystical place inhabited by a special clan of Kitsune renowned for their deadly skills with weapons and magic. Raised in the shadows of the Lost Nine, an esteemed assassin guild, Reynard's destiny seemed intertwined with the path of deadly precision and secrecy.   Tragedy struck early in Reynard's life when a government ambush claimed the lives of his parents. Left orphaned, he was lovingly raised by his wise grandparents, who imparted upon him invaluable knowledge and the ways of their ancient lineage. Under their watchful guidance, Reynard's talents bloomed, showcasing a deadly prowess with both blade and arcane arts.   As he came of age, Reynard's exceptional skills garnered the attention of the Lost Nine's Inner Ring. Honored and initiated into their secretive ranks, he embraced his destiny as a lethal agent of the shadows. Contracted to retrieve a powerful and coveted magical artifact, the Book of Luminary Whiskers, Reynard embarked on a perilous mission that would change the course of his life.   However, as fate would have it, the two individuals in possession of the artifact, Thrain and Selene, bore a striking resemblance to Reynard's beloved grandparents. This unexpected connection stirred a deep well of emotions within him, rendering him unable to carry out his mission. In a pivotal moment, Reynard made a life-altering decision, choosing compassion and loyalty over ruthless efficiency. He defied his orders and spared Thrain and Selene, refusing to be the instrument of their demise.   Driven by an unshakeable sense of honor and responsibility, Reynard confronted the true puppet master behind the job, the person who had ordered the retrieval of the artifact. In a daring act of retribution, he eliminated the manipulative figure, severing the sinister ties that once bound him to the shadows.   In an unexpected twist of fate, Reynard found himself drawn to Thrain and Selene, becoming their protector rather than their executioner. Bound by a shared sense of loss and a newfound sense of camaraderie, they formed an unconventional alliance, united by a common purpose. As their journey unfolded, Reynard discovered that there was more to life than the relentless pursuit of contracts and death.   Now, as the trio embarks on new adventures, they face a world filled with danger, intrigue, and the unknown. Reynard's heart may be forged in the crucible of darkness, but he carries within him the light of compassion and the possibility of redemption.
