Warg

"In the dim light of the forest, a pair of glowing eyes peers out from the underbrush, followed by the low, rumbling growl of a warg. Its muscular frame moves with predatory grace, each step silent and calculated. The air is thick with tension as the pack emerges, their dark fur blending seamlessly with the shadows. Known for their savage cunning and relentless pursuit, wargs strike fear into the hearts of those who wander too close to their domain. The tales of travelers who vanished in the night, leaving behind only the echoes of their screams, are a stark reminder of the warg's terrifying presence in the wild."

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Wargs inhabit dense forests, mountainous regions, and dark, untamed wildernesses where few dare to tread. They are highly adaptable creatures, able to survive in a variety of environments, but they prefer areas where they can blend into the shadows and hunt undetected. Their dens are often located in caves, hollowed-out tree trunks, or beneath large, overhanging rocks, providing them with a hidden base from which they can launch their nocturnal hunts.

Behaviour

Wargs are cunning and ferocious predators, often hunting in packs to take down larger prey. They are highly intelligent for beasts, capable of complex tactics and coordinated attacks. Wargs communicate with each other through a series of growls, howls, and body language, allowing them to ambush their prey with deadly efficiency. While primarily carnivorous, they are opportunistic feeders and will scavenge when necessary. Their territorial nature makes them aggressive towards intruders, and they are known to fiercely defend their hunting grounds.
