Personal history
Aricel's story begins in a small, secluded cabin deep within the ancient and mystical Twilight Woods. Her father, a rugged hunter, lived there, eking out a modest existence by trapping game and living off the land. Wolfsong's early years were marked by the natural beauty of the forest, her father's survival skills, and his loving guidance.
Sadly, her mother had passed away shortly after Aricel's birth, leaving her father to raise her alone. He dedicated himself to teaching her everything he knew, both about the ways of the forest and the necessity of living in harmony with it. As she grew, Aricel eagerly absorbed her father's wisdom, learning to track prey, set snares, and move silently through the woods.
One fateful day, while exploring the outskirts of the forest, she stumbled upon a den of wolf pups. They were abandoned, their mother nowhere in sight. Moved by compassion, Aricel begged her father to allow her to adopt one of the pups. Reluctantly, he agreed, and that decision would forever change the course of her life.
The wolf pup she chose, a fierce and loyal companion, became her constant companion and hunting partner. They forged a bond unlike any other, with Aricel naming her newfound friend "Shadow" in honor of her silent and swift movements. The two of them became inseparable, hunting together and sharing both joy and hardship in the wilderness.
But as with many tales of the wilderness, tragedy soon struck. While hunting one day, they encountered a massive, ferocious bear. Despite their best efforts, the confrontation ended in heartbreak as the bear brutally killed Shadow, leaving Aricel devastated.
In the depths of her grief and rage, Aricel's latent druidic powers awakened. She felt a connection to the very essence of the forest and the spirits of the wild. In her time of extreme stress, the spirit of Shadow merged with her own, transforming her into a vessel of primal energy and granting her the powers of a wolf.
Now, adopting the name Wolfsong, hunting not for sustenance but for balance and preservation. She stands as a protector of the forest, its creatures, and its secrets. Her connection with Shadow, the spirit wolf, remains a potent reminder of the bond that has grown between her and the wild, and she carries the legacy of her father's teachings with her.
