0.0.0 - Null
The L1Z1X homeworld of [0.0.0], the Mindnet’s designation for Hazz Prime, is a world scarce in organic resources but abundant in energy reserves. The Mindnet has technoformed the world into an ecumenopolis of towering arcologies, vast factory fields, and colossal power reactors.
Vel Syd selected Hazz Prime as his exodus fleet’s destination chiefly for its distance from known space and its ability to sustain the energy consumption of high-tech Lazax civilization. The red dwarf, Hazz, blasts the planet with incredibly high-energy radiation, while tectonic variability provides significant geothermal potential. However, these riches came at the cost of poor prospects for agriculture and the risk of harmful mutations caused by radiation leaking through even heavy shielding.
As the Lazax embraced cybernetic augmentation, giving them little need for organic sustenance, rapid industrialization swept the planet. Within a few centuries, Hazz Prime was covered with cities, factories, and power plants. As the Lazax became the L1Z1X, so too was this world redesignated as [0.0.0], so named for its central importance to the L1Z1X’s empire.
There is no known record of anyone outside the L1Z1X Mindnet setting foot on [0.0.0], or Null, as the wider galaxy calls it. Allegedly, a Winnaran Custodian visited [0.0.0] as an observer, but she has yet to return. Viewed from orbit, the planet takes on a sickly green and yellow glow from artificial lighting and metallic reflections. Massive space docks, orbital platforms, and an armada of superdreadnoughts guard the world in a ring of duranium.
Based on imagery obtained at great cost to Keleres scouts, some analysts believe the world to be relatively sparsely populated. The L1Z1X’s cybernetic enhancements may have further decelerated the Lazax’s slow reproductive processes. If true, this implies vast swaths of the planet are automated. A daring strike team might be able to move through these sections of the world undetected.
Throne District
The Throne District of [0.0.0] sits squarely upon the equatorial plateau where the Lazax diaspora made planetfall. Towering arcologies blanket the district, housing the massive computer cores and millions of L1Z1X technocrats needed for central control of the Mindnet. Deep within the central arcology stands the cyberthrone of Ibna Vel Syd. Here, the millennia-old L1Z1X sits permanently fused to the Mindnet’s control system, directing the L1Z1X Mindnet in a twisted mockery of the once-proud Lazax Imperial Throne.
Syd Datacore
Hidden below the Throne District of [0.0.0] lies the datacore of the Lazax cruiser Syd, the exodus’s flagship. While the sum knowledge of the Lazax was far too expansive to store within a starship datacore, Vel Syd’s followers secreted aboard as much data as possible using experimental data compression.
Since the destruction of the Hall of Cartography, this datacore has contained the most complete record of Lazax history and technology. L1Z1X scientists painstakingly work to coax information out of the datacore, calling the process their Inheritance System. Despite covetous offers of aid from H4l1r engineers, Vel Syd holds firm in his decree that only L1Z1X connect to the system.
