Ixth
The fabled planet of Ixth, once trapped beyond the Acheron Gate and now a rogue planet coasting through the galactic center, is the original homeworld of the dreaded Mahact kings. Awakened by the fateful Creuss expedition, Ixth throbs with furious activity.
On the surface, Ixth appears dead. Aside from the Plateau Imperia, the world looks to be nothing but black volcanic mountains and molten lava seas, the ruinous result of some ancient cataclysm. Beneath the surface, however, Ixth is a hive of activity as ships and thrall clones alike are built and readied for war. Their long slumber ended, the Mahact and their minions again gather in the great necropolis of Aior Dol Gorgos.
Aior Dol Gorgos
Resting upon the Plateau Imperia, the necropolis of Aior Dol Gorgos is the only visible sign of civilization on Ixth. This vast city stretches across the entire continent. Its black stone construction closely mirrors designs common across the galactic-antiquity period. In truth, those designs are copies of Ixth’s original cyclopean architecture.
At the heart of the city stands an immense black ziggurat. This structure houses the primary stasis crypts of the Mahact and serves as the palace of Vertar Auran Oblis, leader of the gene-sorcerers. Atop the ziggurat stands the chamber of Oblis himself. It is said this chamber houses ancient scrying sensors that allow the King of Kings to surveil the galaxy in real time. In truth, these sensors may only scry the vicinity of ancient tarinpal crystals the Mahact seeded throughout the galaxy.
Below the city lie countless bio-factories, lesser stasis crypts, automatic assembler halls, and mining shafts. In the bio-factories, entire armies are flash grown to the exact specifications of the gene-sorcerers, while the lesser stasis crypts continue to release prefabricated thralls for immediate deployment. Mindless clone creations, engineered for strength and with nigh-unbreakable claws, toil away in deep mines. These miners feed the automatic assembler halls, where advanced robotics craft warships and heavy weapons.
