Sem-Lore
Sem-Lore and its people, the Semanora, were—like many of the lesser worlds caught up in the Twilight Wars—a battleground for the major powers to fight over. This forced the Semanora into a series of alliances of convenience, but that didn’t spare their planet in the end. The Twilight Wars devastated Sem-Lore, reducing large swaths of its landscape to lethal rad-deserts littered with the corpses of shattered warships, vehicles, and long-abandoned military equipment. Now, though the scattered munitions are volatile and corroding and the warship wrecks’ power plants deteriorating, opportunistic scavengers ransack the remains anyway, many of them native Semanora.
Sem-Lore’s beauty is wrecked, but not wholly ruined. Some lands have been spared the worst of war, and it is in these small habitable areas that the Semanora continue their civilization. The Semanora are a bipedal, reptile-like species with colorful scales varying dramatically in shade and size between individuals. They have six eyes, spaced equally around an oval skull, which gives them 360° vision. They have flat noses and wide mouths with sharp teeth. Semanora medical and cybernetic technology is first-rate, having been developed out of necessity to recover from the major battles waged on their world. It is an effective bargaining chip when they trade with other worlds.
