Gorick

(a.k.a. Goricktheon)

Gorick, or as he is actually known Goricktheon the Osylyth. He was sent to Nova Aera disguised as a merchant to find a soul that had managed to escape the nine hells and was rumored to be in the giant city. In order to do this, he needed contacts. He found a sailor with a wide network of contacts. He made him fall in love with him and married him to gain full access to this network. Thus he managed to gain contact with an elf that was studying the magic and scientific workings of a soul. He hoped that this elf could aid him in his search, and thus romanced him to better control him. He gained this contact through a vanaran, whom he tricked into signing his soul away to keep this affair secret. When the vanaran was scared into revealing it anyway, Goricks dealings were interrupted and his cover blown, as his pride made him reveal his true form in order to kill the adventurers sent to beat him up.
He later returned and managed to re-establish his business and search for the escaped soul. Until his cover was yet again blown by a particularly nosy Aasimar prince, who revealed his identity to an order of Hellknights stationed in the city, ruining all of his chances of finding the lost soul this century. This angered Gorick and he decided to spend the coming years waiting for things to blow over in Nova Aera, and perhaps exact some vengence.
