The Merandure Great Dynasty is one of the Seven Families of Frankonia. Its house head is traditionally titled Captain & Defender, whose holder is Jaspert Castelvou. Blacksmiths, armourers, and condottieri companies are the associated ventures of the Merandure family. The ancestral seat of the family is the Citadel of Steel, la Citadelle d'acier, in the Rose Arrondissement of Ponvarus.

Their household mercenary company is called the Flaming Sword Regiment.
