Session 43: Epilogue

General Summary

After stepping off the Swift Mermaid in the southern town of Setrapor, they all bed farewell to Dormaruk, the mermaid, the crew, and Trongdong. Jeanne and Nakor together ventured further north until they made it back to Ponvarus. During this time Conn and Danae travelled around the southern parts of the Yelanids in search of Killbarrian rebels in the hopes of perhaps returning to their part of the world.
Three weeks after they had left the Swift Mermaid, Nakor and Jeanne passed the city of Harasan on their way back to Ashdrabad. They had stayed in Ponvarus for but a few short days in order to get their affairs in order, and to fetch a hefty sum of money as hazard pay from the consulate. Travelling with a merchant ship towards the city of trade, they stood by the railing and looked out over the hot and colourful landscape of the Yelanids Alliance. They talked about their past, and Jeanne's troublesome journey with unknown forces that taught and trained her before she was left in Frankonia to fend for herself. Where even tried her hand at modelling before she entered the academy. They talked about the future, about Nakors plans to return to his homeland and enforce a change in rulership. Too many of his kin had died in senseless conflicts brought by the Avatar of War and it was about time for the cycle to begin anew.
Upon reaching Ashrabad, Jeanne fetched her now enchanted estoc from the Madame's Watcher. Nakor also shopped around for a bit. The two spent a few last days in each other's company here, before they too split up to venture forth on their own. Jeanne travelled west and into the Borrovyan continent, forsaking her identity as Jeanne in search of the true Josephine, whom she had pretended to be so many times. Nakor on the other hand ventured north, to Nova Aera in search of his old companion Kazagal Headsmasher. The goliath and his son deserved the closure of knowing that their great enemy Gorick had been defeated.
Conn and Danae spent many weeks travelling the southern cities of the Yelanids, and during that time they managed to meet several of Conn's killbarrian brethren. They also managed to recruit several powerful pit fighters, willing to fight for something greater than the entertainment of others. At the same time, Danae had time to reflect. She had several times asked for guidance from Kronos on what she was to do next. But as her weapons turned to ash in her hands, all signs showed that her task was finished. And so she yearned to return home, to her family in old Syntrios. Her family could barely have accepted that their seven-year-old child was gone, and now she would return, a grown woman. A week later, they set sail. And after reaching Killbarrow, Danae and Conn parted ways, with Danae heading inland, to her family. Her mission finally completed.
