The Break

Formed during the Great Break, the Break is the term for the great sea opened up between the continents of Obsidian and Riven.
The Break is sometimes referred to as the "third continent," and is home to the country of New Concord, as well as a couple dozen smaller city-states, the uncontrolled territory known as Libertalia, and hundreds of indigenous peoples on various islands.
The Break is on average around 1200 miles from north to south, and its furthest point is around 1600 miles. From east to west on the southern portion of the break is roughly 4800 miles. The Eastern Break is about 2600 miles from north to south.
The Break was central to the Final War, the largest conflict the Two Continents has seen to date.
