Iron Republic

A nation of chaos, the Iron Republic was born of the treaty between Fallen London and Hell which granted Hell a permanent colony in the Undersea. Although technically still ruled by devil princes (or whoever is running the place these days), the Republic has been allowed to develop independently. All sorts call this city-state their home, though it takes a specific type to be able to carve out a living in a place where the Soul Trade flows freely and laws change on a daily basis. We always knew lawyers were devils, of course, but the Iron Republic is an experiment on a nationwide scale of what happens if you just say "f_ck it" and let them make new laws too. Why, just yesterday it was illegal to walk on the right hand side of the street without a rose in your hair... or wait, was that Tuesday?
