Batui

A God. Departed from this world, driven off by the rebellion of their created servants, the Kvut, they differ from Stubtu or Flish. Stubtuin, the plural definite form of Stubtu, are gods like Batut, which is the proper way to say the Deities. The difference is contact and influence. Batui are beyond this world but their will does have an effect without mortal intervention. Batui are followed and their examples are something to live up to. Their stories are revealed through the communion of their followers. Deities are respected and have great power and influence.

Stubtum are Gods but not Deities. Deities gain followers but Gods have tiny cults. These are fanatical, often monotheistic, people that harvest and guard the knowledge their God possesses, by communing with the crystal it is trapped in. The cults are careful, never taking all that the God offers, keeping it bound into its crystal and stone prison. They advance the knowledge of their cult and disperse the wisdom only grudgingly, usually not revealing where they got it.

Flishin are terrible. What is known about them is simple: They once were Makers, and they are now dead. Worse, they bear a terrible grudge against the Kvut. It is suspected that the Servants Rebellion had casualties on the Maker's side as well, and Flishin are the remnants of those long dead. Stubtuein released from their crystalline prisons may become either Batui or Flishein, seemingly based entirely on their hatred of Kvut.
