The Imperial Legion is on the lookout for an illegal shipment of dryad, believed to have been sent down the Sylvan River in the last few days. In the wrong hands this material can be very dangerous, all townsfolk must stay wary. The Legion is offering up to ten gold pieces for any useful information, and fifty gold pieces for the returned dryad.

Just three days ago
elvan rangers along the border to the south stopped by one of their sacred groves to find the feywild tree at its centre had been felled, split and harvested of its sap.
This sap -
dryad - is a thick honey-like substance with potent powers. The elves kill poachers on sight who dare cross the border into their
realm, but somehow these few snuck through. It's lunacy to attempt such a dangerous heist, but not difficult to see why a bold thief might try. As the
Sylvan Valley forests have been progressively cut back over the generations these mystical feywild trees are all but extinct in
Illium's half of the valley. The sap from one tree alone would be enough to make its poachers wealthy to the end of their days.
The elves are furious. Reports have it that their rangers' Captain Dellagin is threatening to send her people in to retrieve it. Some have claimed that if restored to the grove the dryad can be used to grow a new feywild tree. Others claim the elves want it for themselves. Whatever the case, tensions haven't been this high in decades.
It's assumed the shipment of dryad must have come downriver at some point, probably under the cover of night. Whether it made it to Marmella or not is unknown. There is much talk of where it could be and if it should be investigated, though with the Duke's departure to the Heartland the
Legion is stretched thin and unwilling to wade into the mess. Fifty gold pieces for the return of the dryad is barely a tenth of its worth on the black market.
