Isuca Bird
The isuca is a colourful myna bird from the Green Islands. The isuca has bright iridescent plumage, and they're and is exceedingly rare outside their native islands. Isuca are favoured in menageries and as display pets by wealthy merchant captains and aristocrats. Isuca birds are also coveted for their speed. Though difficult to train an isuca can out-distance a messenger pigeon.
Isucas are very intelligent, though proud and ill-tempered at times. They live off a diet of seeds, nuts, insects and small reptiles. Isuca eggs are similar to opals in appearance and are a luxury commodity used in jewellery and decor. The isuca egg trade is lucrative, but is accounting for the dramatic decrease in isuca numbers. Egg poachers and native Green Islanders frequently come to blades in the jungles of the Green Islands.
