Engineer Rewalt Hernals (a.k.a. Wally)

Rewalt is a balding man with spotty skin and spots of hair missing across his body. He looks like he is in his mid-thirties though he is actually only in his early twenties. He speaks with a robotic voice modulator after a radiation accident early on in his career that saved an Outpost during a meltdown. He has a husband of 3 years, Reese, and they are expecting a child via a surrogate soon.
He has been with FreeST since he was 15 and it reportedly was his first job. He has always been the first to volunteer for "dangerous" jobs and has been known as either a thrill-seeker, risk-taker, or someone with something to prove. Over the last 15 months, he has taken maximum overtime that he has been allotted every Shift.

The Incident

Rewalt proved himself yet again during the Incident, volunteering to be a part of the rescue team to recover the Heat Shielding. His team was ambushed by a second wave of Skittering Horrors after the initial wave was wiped out. He sustained a series of serious injuries that caused him to fall into a coma. He is still under care in Medical Ward B (Longterm Care) in Quarter 3.
