There are some things in life that just seem constant. The old Portmaster of New Avon, Jimmy Dickens, is one of those constants to almost any transport pilot doing the route between the Krasian Territory and the Galactic Southern Rim. Whether the thin, old, wiry man with a grey beard reaching to belly button is refueling their ships, has his team of droids refitting and repairing, or is just touching up and repainting the ship, he is a staple of the New Avon Starport.
No one seems to know much about where he came from and he may have been there when the Starport was built as far as anyone really knows. All they can be sure about is that newcomers will always see his big, grumpy eyebrows and assume he’s mad about something but will come to rely on his fair prices and constant presence just the same.

Surprisingly enough, he seems to be the current owner of the Starport building in the records. Looking at him, you would never know it. Most assume the Starport is the property of one of the major transport companies, but the appearance may be deceiving as he may be one of the richest men in the Starport from that asset alone.
