The Stationary Moon

Also known as the Golden Moon and Rose of the Night, the Stationary Moon is a rocky celestial object that floats several miles directly above the center of the continent. Magnetic north will always point toward it. The Moon also provides an accurate measure of the distance from the center of the world by calculating the angle, in relation to the viewer, at which it rests in the sky.
