Ejen
The Scarlet Dominion, is home to mostly vampires, but some dhampyrs and humans live there and some of them hold positions of prominence. However, most dhampyrs and humans are seen as cattle, to be farmed for their blood. This practice is common throughout the Dominion but not all agree that this should be the order of things. The Ejen is a zealotous sect, that believes in the supremacy of vampires and their blood, they only refer to themselves as Duskin, for it aligns them with their god. The Ejen abhor the practice of human farming and instead believe that all humans should be allowed to roam free, so they can be hunted like Dusk intended. The Ejen want to rule the world and have free reign to do what they want with its residents.
Origin
The Ejen have existed since Dusk created the duskin (vampires). The 1st era was one of comingling where humans, vampires, and changelings alike lived together in communities and built strong bonds, but there were always those who did not approve of that. The Ejen terrorized non-vampires and any vampires that consorted with humans and changelings. The catalyst for the 2nd era only exacerbated the prejudice that the Ejen had for "lesser" species.
Secrecy
Most of the Ejen now live in secrecy, hidding in plain sight amongst the ranks of the Dominion. They do not hide because they would be punished for their beliefs, they hide because most people would try to stop them from performing their subtle acts of sabotage. The Ejen of the current era are more sabetours than they are an open sect. A farm loses production here, some high ranking dhampyr dies there, they express their beliefs through their actions. Many Ejen hope that one day, one of them would ascend to take control of all the Dominion but the other factions within are strong and mighty.
