Binku Island (Bean Ku)

The Island of Dreams and Minga Melons! This island boasts deep jungles and rich fertile land. This is in contrast to the dormant volcanoes on the island. Binku Island is one of the few islands in the Tears of the Veil that remains friendly to pirates, Lord Blackwind is said to have ties to The Dark Lady. Blackwind Harbor is a bustling trade port as well. Blackwind Castle sits on the coast above the harbor Some points of interest on the island also include Stardock Mage Tower, Zebriah’s Minga Melon Farm, The Kvoath Ruins, and Hammertail Village.
To the south of the Main island is Kanne’s Island, It has been recorded a hermit lives there and decorates his home with sea shells and skulls. Not many visit this place though it's rumored there’s some hidden treasure here.
This Island is mostly populated by Water Genasi, Humans, and Monkey Birds.

Topography

The island is covered in lush jungles, with rivers and wetlands. The Northern part of the island is home to the Strata Mountains, a chain of dormant volcanos. The coastlines on the south are sandy and white the North end island has a rocky coastline. The Climate here is warm, humid, and sunny. The island is roughly 75 miles by 40 miles

Blackwind Castle

Fifteen thin, round towers dominate the skyline of this massive castle and are connected by enormous, heavy walls made of light brown stone. Ornate windows are scattered thinly around the walls in fairly symmetrical patterns, along with huge crenelations for archers and artillery.
A huge gate with huge metal doors, a draw bridge, and various artillery equipment are a statement to those wishing to try and invade.
Lush fields of crops surround the castle walls and provide the inhabitants with food all year round. This castle shows signs of expansion as some parts are clearly built more recently than others, the Blackwinds are already working on another part and hope to keep expanding.

Stardock Mage Tower

Stardock Mage Tower sits in the northern part of the island and is surrounded by Star Lake. Star Town is the only point of entry to the mage tower. All visitors to the tower must register in town with the Boatman. The tower boasts a robust collection of artifacts and has never been breached. The tower is a school for magicians, wizards, mages, and other various types of magic users.

Zebriah's Minga Melon Farm

Zebriah Jackerriah Tiberium Melnofolous III is an 8th-generation Minga Melon Farmer, he boosts having the most robust melons which are used for various things within the Tears from food to beauty products. This farm is 430 acres and is kept by tribes of Monkey Birds. The melons are the largest to be found on the islands.

The Kvoath Ruins

The ruins are to the west of the island and south of the Strata Mountains. On the outside, they look like a series of collapsed columns and broken statues. It was said that this was where Kvoath the God of music once resided. Many claim to still hear songs here and others have said some disappeared exploring them.

Hammertail Village

Hammertail Village is a smithing village on the southwest part of the island, they are well renowned all the over the world for their smithing. They also boost two master blacksmiths and a master artificer who only deals in guns. The village is surrounded by a stone wall with a series of lookout points.

The Food of Binku

 A few foods that the island is known for are Volcanic Salt and Pepper Ice Lollies, Smoked Ash Grouper, Zap nuts, Storm Peas and Mushroom Crispies, and Minga Melon Wine Slushes

Culture

The people of Binku are hardworking and stalwart. They value a family and tradition above all else. They welcome all to come and visit the island to take part in the beauty and splendor.
