Temples of Amalee

The Great Hearth Keeper and her devoted Priestesses warmly welcome all the tired and weary into their sacred Temple. As a bastion of hospitality and solace, the temple offers a sanctuary for those in greatest need. Amalee, the benevolent Goddess of the Hearth and Home, guides her priestesses to provide unwavering comfort and support to all who seek refuge. These priestesses extend their care beyond mere physical needs, offering compassionate counseling and aid to families in distress. Amalee's Temples are true bastions of hope and peace in Selenia, shining beacons of warmth and sanctuary in a sometimes tumultuous world.

Purpose / Function

The intended purpose of the Temple is keep the sacred Hearths of Amalee always well lit and share that fire with communities they are a part of. The Temples are a place of rest and traquility.

Architecture

Temples are crafted with honey colored stone giving the building a warm and welcoming appearance. Jasmine  and other flowering vines climb the exterior walls adding to the beauty of exterior. The roof is made of thatched golden straw and the eaves are decorated with carved wooden motifs of hearths, homes, and familial scenes. A cobblestone path, lined with lanterns and flower beds, leads to the grand entrance.
The entrance is marked by a large, intricately carved wooden door, depicting scenes of family life and harvest celebrations. Flanking the door are two stone statues of Amalee, each holding a hearth fire, symbolizing her role as the keeper of home and hearth.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a spacious hall filled with the soft glow of numerous hearth fires. The air is filled with the comforting scent of burning wood and herbs. The walls are adorned with tapestries and murals depicting Amalee's stories and blessings, showcasing her journey from mortal to goddess and her union with Edarr.
