The Skeletons of Shaunala

By Kyle   Only appearing outside of their shadowy country in the last century due to a mysterious conflict they describe as the "Lich War", seeing these bright boneheads is still quite the shock. Drawn from the many dead which litter the lands of Shaunala (Duh), the process for making a skeleton has two variants; Conscious Resurrection and Unconscious Resurrection.   The most common skeleton is made from Unconscious Resurrection, as it is the easier method to learn and coincidentally also considered the most "Humane" for making undead thralls amongst necromancers.   The second method, Conscious Resurrection, is often reserved by necromancers for the bones of those which will require talking roles, and for some the bones of their most beloved. This method requires an artificial "Soul" for the skeleton being raised be created by the Necromancer. This gives the skeleton consciousness while making them completely loyal to said Necromancer.
