God of Madness

Madness, or The Mad God, is the spark of all chaos and mortal insanity across the realms and is most commonly depicted as a gargantuan Beholder with a human-like face and infinite eye stalks. He is one of the most feared Gods across all pantheons, and boasts a large following of both cultists and clerics. While the cultists of Madness are entirely reviled, His priests are said to have gained enough favour with their God to persuade him to spare innocents from his gaze. It is not uncommon for people to pay dearly for these clerics to perform rituals of appeasement to Madness in order to save the minds of loved ones who they fear have been corrupted by Him.
