Tales of the Veil
Bonnie Tithing
Once upon an age, when the world was still young, there was a beautiful goddess called Bonbeauleza. Her beauty was so great, in fact, that any mortal she encountered was blinded by it. One day, she walked through the Veil and was saddened by its grey and ugly appearance. She decided she would offer her very body to the world so that mortals could live amongst her beauty.
First, she gave her eyes to the stars to make them sparkle.
She gave her voice to the birds to make them sing and the breath from her lungs to make the air sweet.
She offered her womb to the trees so that they could bear colourful fruits and flowers.

Finally, she pulled her immortal heart from her chest and buried it in the Earth so that all the parts of her body could sing and dance and beat in harmony with each other for eternity.
Once she had given all but her bones to the Veil, a mortal happened across her. This time he was able to gaze upon her without being blinded, but he was still enamoured by her beauty. He saw the beautiful gift she had given to the Veil and so he called her Bonnie Tithing and promised to worship her until his final days. He was her first Priest, and was so faithful that in death he rests with her in her realm.
