Established on the southwestern shore of the main continent, the Baro Resort became a destination of visit for the wealthy and powerful across the galaxy - renowned for its warm climate, clear, azure seas, majestic rainforests, and top-class recreational facilities. The Baro's soft climate was chiefly credited to both natural factors and the precise geo and bio-engineering conducted by the corporate operators - on the natural side of things, its location in a bay shielded by an outlying island guaranteed that the worst of the planetary season of storms would not dispense its wrath upon the Resort and its demanding visitors, whilst the careful bio-engineering projects ensured that the local environment remained as pristine and unspoiled for the enjoyment of the wealthy patrons.
Baro Resort's native population consists principally of corporate employees who attend to the logistical and service responsibilities of the Resort - from maintenance and construction crews to security operators, dancers, and escorts. For those wealthy and influential who merely visit the Resort, Baro is able to present the services meeting the best galaxy-wide standards of luxury, from exotic healthcare and recreational facilities, to casino and concert halls, as well as more disreputable entertainments, provided the visiting patrons are willing to pay exuberant fees for the privilege to appreciate the Baro Resort's hospitality.
