Equanus Dossier
Lore Overview
(Written by Lord Thetis)
At the dawn of Equanus, there were two gods-- the Watcher and the Warden.
The Watcher kept lookout over the endless fields at night, when the sun hid from the angry moon. The Warden beckoned the sun over the horizon during the day, protecting it from the angry moon. Together, this pair worked to shape the cycles on Equanus, and its people grew from it.
No one knows the origins of the Equani. They simply were, always. The people are a sensitive, long-suffering bunch. They have built their culture around their innate empathic abilities, sensing each others' inner emotions with barely a glance. It is unknown if this is Force sensitivity, as not many Jedi or Sith find interest in this far-flung planet.
Equanus gains its scant wealth from agriculture, primarily. They trade in livestock and tobacco, alcohol and cereal grains. And that angry moon from legend is host to an alloy foundry, capable of forging even the most exotic of metals. The moon is entirely volcanic and ash regularly rains down from it, fertilizing the golden fields.
Equanus is nascent in its galactic hoofprint, but it would certainly be a formidable ally to have when war calls and raw materials are needed.
