President Gaius Baltar

President Baltar, a kalashtar, was elected in the year 2448 for a four year term. He was elected on the basis of exploration into the disputed region and skalthar territories. however under his leadership the federation has actually receded from said territories. some of the more questionable sources put this as a classical Kalashtar retreat. however these sources are the minority, and most citizens of the federation are either to busy to care, or to rich to care. federation politics being what they are, president Baltar has made little to no progress to change in the federation.
