Forgestand

Formed over 120 years ago by the half-orc Sorum Dunnal (M) in the city of Sharn, Forgestand has made great strides in its standing alongside the other adventurer guilds in Khorvaire, especially during The Last Great War. The guild was founded as a place for the meandering explorers of Khorvaire to rest and find work amongst the plenty of requests from both private clients as well the Dragonmarked families and other large forces. Over time, the guild has been found to be a heartful home to crafters, especially those of weapons and other armaments. Mages and scholars usually find a home here when dragged along by other parties and find the trove of research opportunities available   Overall, Forgestand is known for its warmhearted, yet somewhat chaotic group of adventurers as well as a group of some of the finest metalworkers in Sharn.

Guildhall

Located in Upper Dura, the Forgestand guildhall has a less opulent feel than other guilds may have, but its more rustic charm offers a homier and more welcoming feel than other guilds may provide at first glance. The guildhall offers a tavern and mercantile open to the public, but it also boasts a training gym, residential quarters, a library, and warehouse for the members of the guild itself. The neighborhood around it caters to the adventurer's other needs with its variety of shops and other services.

Membership

Most of the members have a claim to at least a moderate number of treks into the dungeons of Sharn or trips into the wild areas of Khorvaire. The guild's leader, Senane Dunnal (half-orc, F), is a descendant of the founder and, while a trusted leader and a common fixture in the community, is usually the one that entices the most rowdy of the members.

Allies

While the guild as a whole maintains friendly relations with other guilds in Sharn and abroad as well as with businesses in the area, the guild is more of a conglomeration of adventuring and crafting groups that have decided to work together for the purpose of their freelance requests.   Affiliated Guilds In and beyond Sharn, Forgestand maintains a healthy relationship with many guilds in Khorvaire including some thieves guilds and such relationships allows other guild members to utilize the Forgestand facilities and vice versa.   Clifftop Businesses Since Forgestand is a prominent member of the community, many of the nearby businesses offer a small discount to the members for brining in business and also avoid angering members of the guild in fear of losing business entirely.   House Sivis This Dragonmarked House mainly provides translation services and legal representation for the guild and its members to keep business in the area.   House Tharashk This Dragonmarked House not only provides guides to the guild for any exotic adventures, but they also hire groups from the guild to act as security during the House's own expeditions.

Enemies

Individual adventuring groups readily make lasting enemies, and occasionally that animosity extends to the guild as a whole—as is the case with the following organizations:   Deathsgate Explorers' Club A fierce rivalry simmers between the Forgestand guild and Sharn’s other local adventurers’ guild. Sometimes the rivalry can be described as almost friendly, but the Deathsgate guild occasionally escalates it with vandalism of the Forgestand guildhall or even physical (but usually nonlethal) attacks on guild members in dark alleys.   Sharn Watch Forgestand is protected of the Daggerwatch Garrison and Watch Commander Lian Halamar. Halamar has no love for adventurers and is happy to catch guild members on the wrong side of the law.
