As a way of limiting damage and, perhaps, gaining an ally, the Cult of the Bird send a missionary, Hawk Ginthor, to convert Duchess Korsi. Over the next several years, it works although it is clear that it is not a religious move but a political one as the Duchess can now leverage the Bird resistance cells in her war against Kiend.
