Battle of Gurts Forest

Hearing that Count Miynherd to be an adventurous and honorable man, over the course of the war, Duke Big treats him to him more as an equal than anything. After the Battle of Gurts Forest, the Count was captured. The Duke let him go without ransom, including returning his weapons. At that point, the Baron seemed to largely stop opposing the Duke.
