Ironspire

Situated at the northernmost reach of the Harrow Reach, Ironspire is an independent city-state notable for its imposing fortress of dark iron that dominates the skyline. The fortress, discovered rather than constructed, protrudes from the grey, rocky landscape, seeming almost to challenge the storm-laden skies.

Architecture and Infrastructure

Ironspire, aptly named for the fortress that stands sentinel over the city, is built into and around the harsh, rugged terrain, which is rich with veins of iron. Using techniques passed down through generations, the people of Ironspire have learned to carve their homes and buildings directly into the rock face, creating a cityscape that is both intimidating and awe-inspiring. The fortress itself is an architectural marvel, constructed from iron mined from the rich deposits found in the area.   The infrastructure of the city is as resilient as its people. Iron bridges and walkways crisscross between buildings and districts, linking the city together. The roads are cobbled with iron-rich stones, reflecting the city's profound connection with the metal. Ironspire’s blacksmiths are famed throughout Harrow Reach for their mastery over this versatile material, crafting everything from tools to architectural details.
