The Healing Saint

"Look, I'm telling you, Gest lost that arm! It was basically hanging off his body, only reason he still had it was that nobody dared to be the one to cut it off! It already was infected an' all, then one day, bam, healed!"   "Caltram, I know you believe that, but it's a load of crap. You all must have seen wrong. Just like a headwound might bleed like a spring flood, yet it turns out to be a mere scratch."   "Are you even listening?! Infected! We could see the bone!"   "So what, you're claiming his arm just magically healed? That's not something those so-called abilities can do. And even if they did, you think they'd do it for free? To a random woodcutter, in the middle of the night? Sounds like the kinda fairytale my gran used to tell me."   "It's not a fairytale! It's... Hold on. Come to think of it, didn't my pops once tell me something like that... Some kind of saint of healing he told me?"   "Right... You go and think about that, I'm getting another drink. And just for me, you clearly had enough!"

But some stories we still cannot explain for sure. One of those is the myth of the Healing Saint.   The Healing Saint is a story of people that mysteriously were healed of severe injuries and illnesses, with some claiming a friendly person was in the area beforehand and disappeared afterwards. People generally assumed this was done by a saint in disguise, walking the earth to spread divine love. At times such cases have been declared an official act by a saint by the Church.   With incidents still occurring to this day, it is less likely that these incidents are pure hearsay and more likely that actual individuals are behind this. However, while Healing Tarot abilities exist, it is uncertain whether this is the truth behind the myth. After all, Healing serious injuries will heavily exhaust either the patient or the healer, plus it requires a great amount of skill and power.   As such, actual divine intervention sounds almost as plausible as altruistic powerful Tarot users going about and secretly healing people without showing their face. It would take a great fool, both figuratively and talent-wise, to actually do so. Though one should note that The Principal is tight-lipped when asked if he ever secretly healed people like this, while there are strange stories connected to the sealed investigations into Random Chenag...
