Banana disease
The Banana Disease comes from the phrase "to have banana" which means "to have the smile". It is a disease caused by a bacterium of the Clostridium family and which are lodged in the cheeks and on the teeth. It secretes a neurotoxin that will stiffen the zygomatic muscles showing a permanent smile on the patient and will yellow teeth.
Causes
This disease occurs in rare cases, often after eating a contaminated fruit from the Mosour Forest that has not been washed.
Treatment
There was no treatment for the sole reason that the disease affects only a hundred people a year. But Doctor Janet Valsys found a vaccin called the Sadness.
Prognosis
Most of the time, the infection is not severe and will disappear after a few days but in the most advanced cases, it happens that the muscular tension is strong enough to tear the mouth or break the lower jaw.
Prevention
Washing any fruit before consumption is enough to avoid contamination.
Cultural Reception
In dwarven culture, those who are affected by this disease have been affected because they did not smile enough or were too grumpy.
In the Half-Human culture, being infected is due to being pessimistic about someone's fate.
