Coclerine

Take a cat. Take a butterfly. Merge them. This gives a Coclerine, a feline insect. Quite common, they can be found in forest.   After some studies, it was demonstrated that the Coclerines purrs have a positive impact on health and morale. Today, it is reproduced in breeding for use in psychotherapy.   It is also possible to keep one as a pet, but it needs a great care. If you don't, then they become dull and die. Whatever you do don't scare them or they will fly away.   A Coclerine is a being very sensitive to emotional feelings. The stronger they are, the happier and healthier the Coclerine is. If the Coclerine is in contact with negative emotions, he will instantly purr and seek to chase this feelings.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are small cats, the size of kitten, with wings of butterflies. The colors of furs and wings can vary. Although it is quite robust, its wings are very fragile and do not support moisture.

Genetics and Reproduction

Coclerines only breed once a year. Two coclerines, to reproduce, will stick to each other and cuddle while releasing a hormone, oxytocin. Some cells of both partners will then detach and merge, causing a narrowing of both parents. From this union, will be born a little Coclerine. Contrary to what one might think, a Coclerine does not make a chrysalis to grow. He is content to sleep and eat a lot until he reaches an adult size.

Ecology and Habitats

A coclerine needs a lot of vegetation to survive. In addition to being his source of food, it is also a playground where he can play with other Coclerines. They like to sunbathe, but rarely move away from a tree or bush so they can lie down underneath if needed.

Additional Information

Domestication

A Coclerine is very docile, but also very timid. It must be allowed a time of adaptation so that it can be attached to you. To raise a Coclerine, you need a lot of vegetation. A garden or greenhouse is ideal for the Coclerine to flourish. Coclerine is herbivorous, so you have to leave some plants to nibble. Being very sensitive to feelings, it is important to love your Coclerine and pamper him. You must also take great care of its wings that are not waterproof. So, you must avoid baths.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Coclerines are used for purrs therapies. It's a common procedure to put a Coclerine in touch with someone who is depressed and stressed. The purring of Coclerine will stimulate the production of endorphin, melatonin and dopamine which will relax and calm the patient. Doctors exploit the fact that Coclerines are very sensitive to feelings to treat quite serious cases of depression.
