Rare among witches, Diana is the daughter of two old and powerful witch bloodlines, the Irish-Australian Callahans and the African-American Barabousses. This combination of power fuels and supercharges Diana's magic, which is strongest in the element of Air.
Diana's primary power is telekinesis, and she has advanced control over this power in both strength and dexterity: she is strong enough to move mass the equivalent of several people or heavy household appliances, and precise enough to manipulate objects as with pincers/precision tools. As Diana's power grows, she discovers that her telekinesis is a rare form of the ability, known as aero-telekinesis, or the ability to move move objects with the air/wind around them. Diana's is a highly precise form of aero-telekinesis, because there is no wind or breeze felt when she is using this power.
This discovery is the triggered by the manifestation of her secondary power, levitation by manipulating air/wind to displace her body, lifting her up into the air. She is able to levitate several metres into the air, allowing her to leap over most physical barriers and obstacles, and essentially keeps her safe from falling from any height as she can slow her descent and land safely.
As a witch descended from two separate and ancient bloodlines, as well as a demonic power-boost from her maternal grandfather Belphegor, Diana is incredibly powerful and manifests the tertiary power of aerokinesis, or the ability to manipulate air and wind. She can conjure, control, and manipulate breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, gales, and even tempests as her strength and power grows. This power is incredibly energy-consuming, however, and exhausts Diana quickly, leaving her powerless for a time and vulnerable to sorcery sickness. In addition, it is also the power most susceptible to Diana's emotional stability - when overwhelmed by uncontrollable grief or rage or hatred, violent winds erupt, which is how Diana discovers this new ability in the first place. As the daughter of a half demon, Diana has also inherited a weakened version of Cassidy Callahan's demonic electrokinesis power. While Diana cannot throw bolts of electricity or lightning, she can deliver electrical shocks with her hands by touching a person or object, and has some degree of control over the voltage she delivers.

Diana's style is very practical to her job, but still fashionable. When in the field, she opts for close fitting jeans, ankle boots, breathable tops, and her favourite leather jacket. When required in the office, Diana is comfortable in heels, 3/4 skirts and silk blouses. She prides herself on looking good no matter the situation.

Personal history
Diana was born and raised in Cape Otway. In 1993, her mother Cassidy (unbeknownst to Diana) left to try to find her missing father, Finn, and Diana was taken care of after that by her aunt Fiona Callahan. When she turned 18, Diana moved to Melbourne, and at age 19 formed a coven of young witches. This coven became the target of a witch hunter, who picked off the young witches one by one. It was Diana who subdued him and took him to the authorities. The prosecutor, Andrew Stowe, knew about the supernatural world, and was able to protect Diana's secret while putting away the witch hunter.
When she was 22, Diana entered the police force, but resigned at age 24, as she found it too hard to operate within the confines of the law, not being able to use her magical powers to find and subdue criminals.
At age 24 Diana was offered a job as a private investigator at the law firm Yarrow and Stowe. Her boss was Andrew Stowe, the former prosecutor, and he hired her specifically so that she would use her magic to help her find people, information, etc. Diana loves this job and has remained there ever since.

Mental Trauma
Having many of her friends killed by a witch hunter when she was 19, and then attacked by that witch hunter herself has Diana with a hatred of them as well as a deep fear. In many ways, surviving the attack and being the one to subdue and capture the hunter has made Diana feel powerful and in control, but it has also left her scarred. In refusing to allow herself to ever be hurt or to be a victim like that again, she has inadvertently put up walls around herself. Maintaining an air of invulnerability leaves her less able to forge deep emotional connections with others.
Intellectual Characteristics
Diana is not just intelligent (having completed a degree in criminal justice), but she is able to think very quickly on her feet, and her police training has enabled her to be able to survey a given situation, analyse the risks, and make snap decisions easily. She is quick witted and sarcastic, and does not suffer fools easily.

In an alignment system, Diana would fall squarely into the 'Chaotic Good' box. She is fundamentally a good person, and strives to use her skills and powers for good, but is happy to be unconventional with her methods, and is more than comfortable working outside the confines of the law to do so. She is fiercely loyal, and does not forgive betrayals.

Diana takes her duties as a witch very seriously. She views her status and power as a Callahan witch as a place of privilege, and strives to use that privilege for it's intended purpose, to protect the mortal world from supernatural dangers, to protect the supernatural world from mortal dangers, and to protect supernaturals from themselves and each other. She is a powerful witch of two different bloodlines, and is proud to help those less powerful. However, she is also prideful, and enjoys the status that comes along with being a Callahan, as well as the ego boost.
