New Dirth

A large port city along the K'Sax Sea, this city is built upon the remnants of the town of Dirth.  The old town is still the center of the city and a few of the original buildings are still in use.

Dirth was saved from the devestation of the Sundering by a combination of luck and the wishes of the Heroes of Dirth.  As one of the few settlements not destroyed by the event, it grew in power and population quickly.  The only reason it was not selected for the capital was due to the open nature of its port.

The new sections of the town are a port, a military district, a trade district, and swaths of homes.  The fortress the Heroes of Dirth built still acts as the military headquarters for the region, but a new barracks was built to handle the large population of military now housed in the region.  The port was built haphazardly, as the town was originally land locked and mainly a farming community.  The old well has been sealed up, as now it only offers salt water.  The former mayors house was rebuilt after the fire just before the Sundering, and has been turned into a historic and religious structure.  The nearby wizards tower, owned by an ally of the Heroes, was turned into a wizard guild headquarters.  This was in direct opposition of the former owner of the tower, but he abandoned it when wizards kept showing up on his door step.  It is now the center of a wizards tower complex.  The trade district is found where many of the farms once sat and near the port.  Several walls had been quickly built around the city as it grew, but few have survived long term.  New walls have replaced many of them, but remnants of the originals can be found.
